Can not believe we’re one week away from Thanksgiving! This year will be a little different, and I am a little sad about it, but as long as my family and friends are staying safe during this pandemic then I’m okay with that! There is still so much to be thankful for as we are now in gratitude season, which really gratitude should be a daily practice just not in November, right? This year has been hard for many people, emotionally, physically, financially, and mentally. Even if celebrating during the Holidays doesn’t feel the same as in year’s past, you can still make it a great one and maybe try/add some new fun traditions!
I don’t know about you but I’m all for being comfy on Thanksgiving day, and it has to be “napped” approved, meaning I need to be able to take a nap easily in my outfit without feeling uncomfortable in my outfit. I do have a confession, I tend to always be super cute on Thanksgiving day and then towards the afternoon I’m switching to leggings and a t-shirt. It’s still so fun to get dressed up to take photos or just the idea of taking some extra time to feel good by getting dressed up. So I totally recommend still looking cute even if you are just hanging out at the house – you deserve it beautiful!
Today I’m sharing 4 looks that I will think you love for the Thanksgiving holiday next week. I’ll also share some ways that you and your family can stay safe but still have a fun this Thanksgiving!
Look #1 – I am amazed by the quality, feel, and fit of this Wal-Mart dress! It’s the perfect length and available in 4 other colors! I styled it with booties and a hat, but you could totally throw on a belt and some knee-length boots. I’m wearing the XL – in my opinion I would stick to your true size, if you want it more fitted size down one.
Look #2 – This Target dress reminds me of “Little House on The Prairie”, totally giving me those vibes! This is the perfect fall dress and is has pockets! It’s available in regular and plus! I’m wearing the XXL.
Look #3 – Now this is the coziest outfit and probably the look I’m going for next week. This Free People sweater is super over-sized (size down at-least 2 sizes), I’m wearing a Medium. Throw on some Spanx leggings (I’m wearing the 2x) and your UGGS and you’re good to go my friend! This is definitely a nap approved outfit.
Look #4 – Lastly, this look is a fav too! Yall know how much I love a Loft sweater and every year they bring out the best sweaters this oversized poncho is too cute and something you’ll reach for every week during the cooler weather season! I’m wearing the XL and paired with my Spanx leggings, but Loft has some similar leggings linked here.

Tips to Staying Safe During the Holidays!
- Celebrate at home – prepare a meal for those inside of your home, or keep it to immediate family only
- Have a virtual dinner with family and friends via Zoom (also, Zoom has lifted the 40-min restriction just for the Thanksgiving holiday)
- Watch the parade and football from the comfort of your home
- Shop online and avoid the large crowds in stores
- Wash your hands frequently, check your temperature often, keep your distance, and wear your mask when around others or out in public
- Check on your loved ones and neighbors via phone, text, or facetime
- If you must have a large crowd – keep it outside
- Be kind – we’re all in this together. The quicker we can slow the spread, the quicker we can be all back together again
- If you don’t feel well, STAY HOME!
Stay safe and well my friend! Prayers that you and your family have a lovely Thanksgiving holiday! xo
